It's almost like window shopping but no purchases are allowed. The credit card must be declined.

And I believe you can actually be vegetarian-ish after reading Dan Mathew's book 'Committed' but still very much disagree with monogamishness and after doing more research since then, I really disagree with a lot of what Dan Savage talks about!

At the end of the day, it's whatever makes people happy and I have friends who partake in the stuff that I have mentioned and seem to be in a great relationship. Ultimately I will hopefully find someone who shares the same thoughts and beliefs as me too!Myron Myhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12211006160187098589noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8281977387613225288.post-56310716915973715912014-01-22T13:53:21.542+11:002014-01-22T13:53:21.542+11:00I enjoyed reading your thoughts on Dan's talk,...I enjoyed reading your thoughts on Dan's talk, though I had basically the exact opposite reaction! I am finding more and more that my opinions on topics like this are becoming less black and white, and I'm actually happier in a grey area where I am open to change my mind about things I once saw as *certain*.

For me, Dan's points about loving someone beyond denial of all urges for other people ring true. What I heard was 'love and respect for your partner means being realistic about human nature'.
His talk (and his podcast) have lead to some really interesting and deep discussions with my BF about what sex/ love/ relationships/ friendships mean to us. Whilst I obviously cannot comment on the gay community, for me Dan Savage has proved a positive influence in my life.

Totally respect where you're coming from though (not trying to discount, only share my perspective). I think the bottom line is that "ish" works for some people and not for others. Do what works for you and makes you happy.
I also was "Vegetarian-ish" for a while ;-PAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03519727646506703595noreply@blogger.com
